Design ideology for Astir

The Comfort through Design ideology influenced the design of Astir by prioritizing accessibility, human factors, and aesthetic appeal, resulting in a sleek and intuitive design that promotes a sense of calm and comfort for cancer patients.

From unboxing
to life-saving

Packaging of Astir aims to provide an accessible experience for those who have limited mobility.

Our packaging follows universal design principles, allowing patients to open the package with limited hand or wrist movement.

Step by step
guidance
to recovery

The Astir platform offers real-time guidance and support to motivate patients to adhere to their treatment plans while providing valuable insights to both patients and healthcare providers.

Finding comfort
with a greater
community

Astir recognizes that the journey toward recovery can be daunting, and encourages patients to find solace in shared experiences and support from others who are going through similar experiences, promoting a sense of comfort and companionship in their journey.

Regaining control
and stir the ship
your way

Astir empowers patients to make informed decisions and receive assistance in initiating their daily treatment at a time and in a manner that suits their needs.

This intelligent feature enables you to take control of your treatment schedule and ensures minimal interruption when they are occupied with essential activities.

Empowerment

We often
take things for
granted until
we lose control

The most disturbing part of traditional cancer treatment
isn’t the physical symptoms you will experience, it is the complete lack of certainty and the loss of autonomy that can make many cancer victims give up.

In a study of 140 cancer patients who had discontinued, refused, or completed chemotherapy, there were no major differences in the quality of life of those who completed and refused chemotherapy.

Uncertainty permeated every aspect of my journey, from the universal question of why my cancer developed in the first place, to the most mundane treatment details.

Overcoming
setbacks
as a team

Throughout the Astir project, our team faced various difficulties in managing our timeline effectively.

One significant setback was the delay in the design of the packaging, which pushed our timeline back.

Our team overcame the challenge through effective communication, developing creative solutions, and learning valuable lessons in teamwork and time management that we can apply to future projects for successful outcomes.

It’s all about empowering you to connect with the people and the community
